According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons (NamUS) database, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, more than 600,000 people go missing annually. Approximately 4,400 unidentified bodies are recovered each year.

You are not forgotten. Each day your family and friends continue to persevere and seek answers. They are front and center and have never abandoned their mission and hope of locating you. You are loved.

 

Across the U.S. every day in every law enforcement agency, missing persons organization, website and social media post - from a gofundme, to various dedicated YouTubers and true crime enthusiasts - someone is always searching. 

Your life is rare gift. You deserve to have others never give up in their efforts to locate you. Regardless of any circumstance of your vanishing, others should always remain resolute, purposeful, respectful, and untiring in their pursuit of truth. 

 In Missouri alone, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol state statistics for 2024, 642 adults are actively reported missing. Children or juveniles number approximately 691.
